Blueberries for Days!

A friend and I took a whirlwind trip to southwest Michigan to explore the lake, the quaint towns, the beautiful trails, and most importantly the blueberries! We even attended the National Blueberry Festival, which include more blueberry joy than I had ever known. We picked blueberries — both of us for the very first time — and had such a blast. The fields of blueberries were gorgeous, bountiful, and such a gift to wonder through. I marveled at the many different colors of the blueberries as they were growing and the different tastes of sweet and tart. There were beautiful butterflies landing on branches and pockets of sunshine that burst through the orchard layers. The hour it took to pick a bucket full went by faster than I imagined, and each bush I picked from felt like a new one. I walked away with abundant blueberries and even more abundant joy.
